Michael Bomani

Show Bio

Michael, with the help of his father, began Bomani Studios in June 2004 as a way to further express his creativity and provide affordable, yet unique web designs to various local individuals. By the age of 12, he designed and developed his first major web site for Atlas Specialty Trailers. He developed his first small flash application for the company which they still use today.

Recently, Michael has developed web sites for independent companies, major businesses, music production studios, musicians, and artists. He continues to be the lead web designer/developer of Bomani Studios. He is also a photographer, digital artist, and spokesperson for the group. Michael has extensive knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and XML. Michael uses the alias UrbanGAME throughout the web and on some of his creations.

Netanya Bomani

Show Bio

Netanya began experimenting with photography after receiving her first point-and-shoot camera at the age of 12. She shared her work on web sites such as MySpace and Facebook, and the feedback from various individuals gave her the fuel she needed for her newly found passion. Netanya continued taking photos of everything--from her German Shepherd to portraits of herself; but taking photographs of dogs and flowers became repetitive. Netanya soon inherited her father's old Minolta HTsi Plus SLR film camera and took it with her on her travels within the United States.

Currently, Netanya shoots with Canon and has the most experience in portrait photography and fashion photography. She has taken over 20,000 photographs, including the Studios' popular Laundry Day series, and continues to do so with the inspiration of photographers such as Terry Richardson, Gilles Bensimon, and Lisa Bettany.

Mitchell Bomani

Show Bio

Mitchell is the most recent aquisition of Bomani Studios. He currently is studying Web Design and Development under his brother, Michael Bomani. Mitchell has begun several graphic design projects for the firm.

In the future, Mitchell plans to take his aquired skills to various forms of Digital Art. Though, for now, he is working on type-based projects. Mitchell has already begun creating some graphics for Bomani Studios. These graphics are often for various holidays, events, campaigns, and advertisements.

Mitchell has collaborated with the other team members on 5 published projects and is currently working on a new line up for 2011.

Benjamin Tan

Show Bio

Benjamin Tan, commonly known as Ben or Ben Ten, is an aspiring artist and designer. No stranger to the world of art, Ben was initially a musician. He picked up his first instrument, the violin, at the age of six and eventually progressed to the guitar, then pencil, and now to his current love: the lens.

His inspiration derives from German and Japanese minimalism as well as Chinese Feng Shui. Ben enjoys recycling and refreshing old concepts in his projects. Like Netanya, Ben also enjoys the photography of fashion and cites Edward Steichen, Cecil Beaton, and Steven Meisel as sources of influence. Ben currently shoots Canon.

When not seeing the world through a viewfinder, Ben enjoys watching Premier Club Football, lossless audio, and is an avid traceur. Ben also plans on seeing the world.
